Gardening delux and a peak at some of my projects

At the beginning this was an overgrown neglected bed that has been filled with weeds since I bought my house.  I was doing some research to find plants that are cat friendly when I came across what was called a cat garden.  I started with these catnip plants which they love and knew right away were for them...they've had some nibbling done to them :)  These plants can be calming and make a cat feel a stte of euphoria.

In addition to catnip which cats like to eat on the website said to plant stuff that cat's could hid and play in so I planted some sunflower seed and it's now  springing up.  Yes, there are still some weeds lingering that have been hard to erdicate out of there...  on to the next plant in this garden so far....

Tbh...I have no idea what these are.  I planted a wildflower seed packet in my back lawn and these were the only things that grew.  I think they are cosmos which the cats will find fun to bat the tiny leaves and run around in when they are more established.  That is all for this bed at the time.... I did add two more things out back.

The coneflower leaves were looking wilted so after doing some research I decided to break up the clumps and spread them out so there would be more air circulation.  After that I planted this black eyed Susan I bought on sale today at Tony's Lawn and Garden here in Chanute.    Right behind these beautiful flowers is  what will be a rain garden ...perhaps you have seen glimpses of it in other posts.

Finally, what you see here along my sidewalk in the back, is chamomile.  I bought and planted two of these today.  Chamomile has two varieties these are called Roman chamomile.  I read they make a great walkway plant but perhaps you know them better for being in chamomile or sleepy time teas...you can use both the leaves and the flowers...oh and these smell heavenly.
